What We Do
Ubud Glass and Brass is a family owned business specializing in home decor products handmade in Bali Indonesia by local village artisans.
The founder of Ubud Glass, Sarah Lewis, began selling Mudra brass hands in her first year of College to support herself. With the help of word of mouth on her campus, she sold a few brass mudra hands that her Dad brought when he visited. After realizing how amazing the work from Bali was Sarah opened an Etsy shop to share the amazing artwork from the Balinese artisans.
After opening the Etsy shop in 2016, Sarah would place orders through her father Terry Lewis, retired and living in Bali Indonesia. Sarah is now in graduate school and has turned over Ubud Glass to her sisters (Brooke and Danielle) to run in America, while Terry spends time with the local artisans creating a wide variety of unique home decor.
Balinese artisans work with an array of mediums including brass casting, glass blowing, coconut carving, hand carved teak kitchenware, hand painted batik sarongs and detailed custom woodwork. Over the last 7 years in Bali Terry has developed a working relationship with an array of artisans to sell their work not only in the United States but throughout the world.
If you like the products Ubud Glass has to offer. Come over and visit Booth 231 and meet Terry Lewis. This is his first time back in the states for 18 months. Terry will be at the NY NOW convention from January 5th-8th and some time after the show. Terry has a special knowledge of the products Indonesia has to offer with the indigenous artisan communities. Terry has exported everything from custom furniture, Mid-Century modern pieces, Teak recycled wooden boats, Bamboo, Mahogany kitchen modular cabinets and teak patio furniture. He also has access to large vessel sinks made of river stone, petrified wood, onyx and travertine.
